NASCO provided construction services for a new 5,800 sf emergency medical services building located on the Navajo Nation.  The new facility provides comfortable multi-purpose spaces, EMT living quarters, conference rooms, a training room, a fitness center, two large apparatus bays for Type I and II ambulances, restrooms, showers and locker rooms, a break-room, administrative offices, and an outdoor patio for public and staff use.

Construction was conducted in an enclosed area measuring 6,129 GSF. Our team demolished the existing asphalt and provided excavation and earthwork for site preparation. Other site development work included subgrade preparation, concrete walks, and utility connections to the existing water, sewer, electrical, gas, and telephone services.  We also provided the installation of a new exterior drainage system which consisted of 100 LF curb, gutters and drains, a parking lot, and a 6 ft. chain link fence with a 6 ft. X 30 ft. roller gate enclosing the site.

The Emergency Medical Services building was constructed using slab on grade foundation with vapor retarder, reinforced concrete, metal stud framing, aluminum doors and windows, single-ply membrane roofing, and galvanized steel decking. Our team performed the multi-discipline installations throughout the new facility including plumbing fixtures, lighting fixtures, a new HVAC system, septic system, gymnasium-sport flooring, carpet and vinyl flooring, gypsum board assemblies, interior and exterior insulation, suspended acoustical ceiling tiles, ceramic tile, exterior stucco wall finishes and painting.
