Due to technological advances, the existing scoreboard and sound system was rendered obsolete and in need of replacement. The existing scoreboard, sound system and top platform were removed with a large crane and disposed of at a nearby offsite location.

The new Daktronics© LED Scoreboard system required a structural analysis of the existing scoreboard structural system to ensure it would support the new scoreboard, sound system, giant voice, and maintenance access.

The new scoreboard measures 31.2 ft. high x 82.8 ft. wide and was installed utilizing a large crane. We also installed new game clocks, game delay clocks, and marquee displays.  The new scoreboard was designed and installed utilizing the existing structural steel frame and drilled concrete piers, which can withstand winds over 90 MPH.  The existing Giant Voice© speakers were able to be relocated using a small hoist system to a lower platform and remained in usable condition.  The sound system was programmed for the potential to reach 95 decibels to all areas of the football stadium, within the 2000-3500 hertz frequency range. The existing surrounding wall panels and structural columns were cleaned and painted and minor repair work was made to the landscaping from damage caused by the crane during the replacement phase.
